We’re looking for an experienced tax professional who enjoys solving complex tax issues, building relationships with clients, and being part of a collaborative team where your expertise is valued.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and review complex individual (Form 1040), partnership (Form 1065), and S corporation (Form 1120-S) tax returns
- Prepare corporate tax returns (Form 1120) as needed
- Prepare Form 5500 filings for retirement plans
- Perform year-round tax planning for individuals and businesses
- Research complex tax issues and develop practical client solutions
- Meet directly with clients to discuss tax strategies and planning opportunities
- Assist with IRS and state tax notices and correspondence
- Collaborate closely with our financial advisors to provide integrated tax and financial planning
- Mentor junior staff and assist with technical training as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and client experience
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong experience preparing:
- Individual tax returns
- Business tax returns (Partnerships, S Corporations, C Corporations)
- Form 5500 filings
- Extensive tax planning experience
- Advanced knowledge of federal income tax law
- Experience with ProSeries Tax Software
- Experience with Intuit products and workflow tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Preferred
- Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA designation (Highly preferred)
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals
- Experience with retirement plan taxation
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and other Intuit applications
- Experience mentoring staff or reviewing returns
